She is the granddaughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the Kennedy daughter who founded the Special Olympics in 1968, and of Sargent Shriver. Her first name directly honors her grandmother Eunice, one of the most accomplished women in the Kennedy family. Her father Anthony founded Best Buddies International, the global organization supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
