Edwin Garrett Moran was born in 2022, the son of Tatiana Kennedy Schlossberg and Dr. George Moran. He is the great-grandson of President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis through his maternal grandmother Caroline Kennedy. His mother Tatiana was a journalist and author known for her environmental writing before her death from acute myeloid leukemia in 2025. Edwin represents the newest generation of the Kennedy family's most direct presidential line.
